POLITICAL MOVEMENTS
This workshop will highlight the importance of POC and youth involvement in American politics by exploring how DEI impacts the current federal government by analyzing current statistics, ethnic representation, and racial propaganda. In addition, attendees will create a congressional campaign and participate in a voting simulation.
MAP OF THE WORLD
Examine the journeys that have been taken to get us to were we are today. In this workshop, students will look at their family's past and how it effects them now.
MOVEMENTS WITHIN LAB
In this workshop, students will look back at the movements that have taken place within Lab and how they continue to impact our daily lives. Students will have the opportunity to continue on with movements that have been impactful to them.
IMPOSTER SYNDROME GAMES
This workshop explores imposter syndrome that minority groups face by acting out the experience in an activity. Students will be asked to play various card games around the room in connection with our theme of movement, in a way that illuminates the toxic experience of imposter syndrome. After, students will debrief the experience and discuss how to address imposter syndrome in our own environments.

COOKING WITH THE SAIGON SISTERS
Learn about Vietnamese culture through cooking food with the Saigon Sisters!
UNCOILING THE TRUTH ABOUT CURLS
This workshop will unpack the historical significance and cultural etymology of natural hair by informing attendees on maintenance, protective styles, and racial discrimination Black people continue to face. In addition, attendees will collectively create a mural by creating tissue paper flowers that will collectively display an afro.

Passionate about a current political event or bill? Students will get the chance to communicate with their representatives Congress!
